How can I help you and your family today? It is both my passion and goal to serve the families of The Woodlands and Spring through evidence-based youth and family counseling.
I grew up right here in The Woodlands/Spring area before going to Baylor University for my Bachelor’s degree. After working in public schools as an educator, I decided to get my Master’s in Counseling from Springfield College so I could help youth and families with difficulties and conflict.
I have ten years of experience working with youth, families, and individuals in community settings, including substance abuse prevention and suicide prevention, as well as teaching family communication courses. I have even had the privilege of working for and traveling around the state of Texas, educating teachers, counselors, and other community professionals about these subjects.
My counseling approach uses a blend of evidence-based cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) practices with family systems. One purpose of my counseling approach is to be very open and easy for adults, children, and teens to have some fun and share while also getting the help they need. I strongly believe in working with our families and partners in therapy because the more people we have on our team, the better. If you have any questions or just want to see if I might be a good fit, please give me a call or shoot me an email. I welcome any opportunity to be of help to you and your family.
